本片之導演 Frank Darabont, 曾執導過, 數部由驚慄大師 Stephen King 小說改編的電影, 例如有"The Green Mile" (綠里奇跡) 與及 "The Mist" (霧地異煞), 但筆者卻認為, "The Shawshank Redemption" 實乃他的畢生代表之作!
